As assistant director of proactive media, Lyndsay assists with proactive top-tier strategy—ranging from planning to pitch development to media placements—including working with the team to develop storytelling opportunities around differentiating research and general expertise. She also provides media relations counsel to communications leaders across the University.

Prior to joining Penn State, Lyndsay held various PR positions in both the private and public sectors, most recently serving as the communications director for Governor Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania. In that role she helped develop key strategies and messaging tactics to advance the governor’s priorities. Lyndsay also recently served as the governor’s spokesperson for high-profile crises and events in the Commonwealth, including the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 election, weather emergencies, and other complex issues.

Lyndsay earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Penn State and is a 2021 Penn State Alumni Achievement Award winner.
