As associate editor, Jessica leads the editorial direction and production of Penn State Today, the University’s flagship daily email publication with a circulation of 150,000. She serves as a key editorial voice for Penn State News and writes stories on a wide variety of topics—from announcements related to actions of the University’s Board of Trustees to community-focused feature stories that advance and support Penn State’s priorities and strategic goals.

Prior to joining Strategic Communications, Jessica served as content and social media manager in Penn State’s College of Information Sciences and Technology (IST). There, she led editorial strategy and content development for the college’s news and social media platform; was the primary writer of research, news, and human-interest stories; and served as editor of iConnect, IST’s alumni magazine.

Before coming to Penn State in 2018, Jessica was a senior managing editor at Affinity Connection and contributed feature and lifestyle content to the Centre Daily Times. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications from Lock Haven University.
