Barb is responsible for managing campus and community events. Her responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate commencement ceremonies (seventeen annually) and selected events for the Office of the President; the faculty/staff awards recognition program; the student awards recognition program; and Penn State’s participation in the United Way campaign, which raises millions of dollars annually. Barb oversees groundbreakings, building dedications, and other special events, including visits by U.S. presidential candidates, legislators, and other national and international figures. She is also responsible for interpreting and implementing University policies on non‐University groups using Penn State facilities, commercialization of campus, and facilities usage.
