As a public relations specialist with the proactive media team, Alexis helps position key experts in top media, supports media monitoring and list creation, and identifies media opportunities for University and research priorities.

Prior to joining the team, Alexis worked at WTAJ-TV, an Altoona-based news station in Pennsylvania, as a digital content producer. Her primary job as a journalist was to research and write content for the station’s website and social media pages, focusing on crime reporting and breaking news coverage. In 2022, she and her digital team earned first place at the Keystone Media Awards for “best digital presence” in TV Division II.

Alexis earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
