As a senior research writer, Adrienne covers applied and basic research primarily within the physical and life sciences. She works closely with faculty and colleagues to develop news releases and targeted media strategies to share the University’s first-rate research with the public.

Adrienne is a former journalist who began her career as a beat reporter for her hometown paper in the Happy Valley of Western Massachusetts. She went on to work in magazines, television, and digital media. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and has served as the assistant director for research, news, and analytics at William & Mary and was a visiting professor at Delta State University in Mississippi. She and her family manage a small farm near the Chesapeake Bay.
