Senior Director, Licensing and Brand Programs
As the senior director of Penn State’s Licensing and Brand Programs, Maureen is responsible for the management and overall strategic direction of the University’s domestic and international licensing programs. She manages all internal and external business opportunities relative to the use of the University’s portfolio of marks. Additionally, Maureen cultivates strategic partnerships with manufacturers and retailers globally. She chairs the University Licensing Committee, working closely with a diverse cross section of University members to strengthen and protect the University brand and its representation in the consumer marketplace. She is an active member of the labor rights leadership community—currently serving on the Fair Labor Association (FLA) Board of Directors—and is also the liaison between the University and the Worker Rights Consortium (WRC).
Under her leadership, Penn State’s Licensing Program received Marketer of the Year by IMG Collegiate Licensing and was awarded the International Collegiate Licensing Association Gold Star Award in recognition of outstanding leadership and innovation. Prior to coming to Penn State, Maureen served as the licensing administrator for her alma mater, Syracuse University. Maureen holds a marketing management degree from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University. She is also a graduate of the Penn State Smeal College of Business Executive Program for Women Leaders and a Leadership Centre County alumna.
